    Billing and Data Services Manager at National Nurses United
    Oakland, California

    We are seeking a like-minded and experienced Billing and Data Services manager who believes in our mission, has a personal dedication to social justice issues, with Project Management and Data Analysis experience. They will manage all aspects of this fast-paced department, which includes the integrity of the Billing process, Report Management, Data Collection and Data Analysis.

    This position is for immediate hire and will be based in our Oakland Headquarters.

    Department Responsibilities
    Collecting, cleaning, and importing data from hundreds of facilities nation-wide in a timely manner
    Responding to member inquiries, via phone and email, related to all aspects of billing and other member services
    Producing a variety of reports for other departments within the union.
    Maintaining the integrity and accuracy of historical data and individual member records.

    Manager Responsibilities
    Monitoring the quality of incoming data
    Making formal information requests and enforcing contractual obligations under applicable state and federal law
    Ensuring the timeliness and accuracy of billing
    Resolving disputes with members
    Overseeing and monitoring the workflow within the department
    Identifying system and process improvements
    Working closely with other departments and identifying specific needs required by each one

    Experience and Skills
    Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or other related field, or in lieu of degree, at least 5 years relevant experience
    Minimum of 3 years management experience
    Strong, hands-on experience in billing system functions
    Experience analyzing data and generating reports
    Excellent time management and project management skills
    Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with minimal supervision
    Detail oriented, sound judgment and logical decision making ability with a hands on apprpach to the work
    Proven leadership including the ability to work well within a team and maintain professional relationships with multiple department leads
    Excellent written and communication skills

    Great attention to detail
    Ability to critically review one’s own work
    Firm understanding of mathematics
    Ability to take initiative and work independently
    Ability to multi-task and juggle competing responsibilities
    Maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times
    Strong understanding and appreciation of the organization’s mission
