This summer there are going to be free LGBTQ tech camps in Austin, New York, and San Francisco. I wish they were having one in Chicago as I’d love to volunteer.

    http://mymaven.org/tech-camp/

Camps are for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender/Genderqueer and Ally youth. LGBTQ youth of color are highly encouraged to apply.

You DO NOT need to be a techie to apply!! The camp is for all levels from the curious to the more experienced.
You must have a desire to learn and participate in the full program. This is a day camp so most days will be from 10am-4pm.
You’ll learn and apply tech skills, be exposed to the careers in technology, and raise your awareness of LGBTQ people in the tech.
AND, you’ll get to go behind the scenes of big tech companies, get connected with LGBTQ tech mentors, and to have fun during the summer with other LGBTQ youth!

This free summer camp will include:
Breakfast, lunch and TONS of snacks!
    Tour of tech companies

Training in coding/programming and game creation
